No one would ever describe me as a betting man. Why…because I don’t like taking chances; however, this past weekend I entered into the dark realm of betting. Don’t worry; it does not involve money, but rather an action. Here’s the deal. I made a bet with someone at our church regarding a possible Duke/UNC final four game. If they play (I’m not sure UNC will even make it) and Duke loses, I have to wear a UNC shirt for a day (oh, the horror that would be). If Duke wins, the other person must wear a Michigan shirt for a day. You see, this other person is not a UNC fan, but just a Duke hater. Most of all he is a huge Ohio State fan and nothing would please me more than to see him sport a Michigan shirt for an entire day. My, my, my how people would talk!
So, what is the point of this post? Please pause right now and pray that Duke would prevail in a final four game so that I don’t have to wear those sad looking Carolina blue colors.
