We were running a little late on Sunday morning, but Leah wanted me to stop by McDonald’s and pick her up a strawberry banana smoothie. As I pulled into the parking lot, I quickly became aware of an abnormally long line at the drive-thru, so I decided to take my chances inside. Upon entering McDonald’s, I immediately knew that I had made the wrong decision; however, I was determined to give it a try. There were six people in front of me, one cashier, and some slow moving people behind the counter; but after standing in line for about 5 minutes without any movement, I made the decision to return to my original plan. When I pulled my car into the drive-thru, I noticed that the cars who were previously in the back of the line had already received their food. Just my luck!
I guess the longest line isn’t always as long as it appears.
